FET is not a dummy. The main difference is that the FET simulator simulates and recreates a real patient. The skin of FET simulators is composed in such a way that it allows the use of hyaluronic acids and recreates the magnification of the area we are injecting, just as it would happen in a real patient. Additionally, by inserting a needle or cannula into the simulator, we can feel how we penetrate each layer, experiencing various resistances and textures. In addition, we can place sutures that lift the thread and visualize tensions similar to those visible in a real patient.
To sum up, mannequins function as exhibition models into which we can probably stick a needle, but we will not experience realistic impressions.
Various products can be injected into the FET simulator, such as: hyaluronic acids, water, gel. You can also apply any type of thread to it.
After injecting the product or inserting the threads, they can be removed as follows: When you notice the desired effect, press with your fingers. Once the bubble has been created, poke a small hole with the needle, then continue to press to force the product out through the hole until there is no more product left inside. As for the threads – lift the top layer of leather and gently remove the threads from underneath.
